Space-A lets you travel on DOD aircraft whenever there’s extra room. Instead of buying a commercial ticket, you sign up on a waiting list at a military passenger terminal. When seats open up (often just before departure), you get cleared to board at no fare, making it an exciting, free way to get around U.S. bases and overseas hubs. Keep in mind that seats are NOT guaranteed, and flight schedules can be unpredictable, so flexibility is key.
