Do a civilian internship during your last 180 days, on full military pay.

In your final 180 days of service you can train, intern, or apprentice full-time with a civilian company while the military keeps paying your salary and benefits. It is a low-risk way to test-drive a career, build a network, and often line up a job offer before you take off the uniform. Participation depends on your commander’s approval and mission needs, so start the conversation early.

Up to 180 days of civilian work experience while still drawing full pay and benefits

How to Claim
