Earn a guaranteed 10% on up to $10,000 while deployed.
When you are deployed to a designated combat zone for at least 30 consecutive days (or one day in three consecutive months), you can open an SDP account paying 10% annual interest, compounded, on up to $10,000. That is a guaranteed return you cannot find in the civilian market. Your balance keeps earning interest for up to 90 days after you get home, then you withdraw it.
