- Government Benefits
Earn college credit with no exam fees.
Two government-backed programs let you test out of undergraduate courses by proving your subject knowledge. CLEP (College-Level Examination Program) covers 36 introductory-level topics (e.g., College Algebra, U.S. History) while DSST (formerly DANTES Subject Standardized Tests) offers 33 exams, including both lower- and upper-division subjects like Business Ethics or Astronomy. Both programs save you time and tuition dollars by replacing classes with a single proctored test. Through DANTES funding, your first attempt on each CLEP or DSST title is free, plus you receive free digital exam guides when you register.
